Foundation & Early Growth
(2004–2014)

    • Incorporated as Ujjivan Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. [USFL] and registered as an NBFC
    • Expanded operations across India, reaching 100,000 active customers
    • Became a founding member of the Association of Karnataka Micro Finance Institutions (AKMFI)
    • Emerged as India's largest Microfinance Institution, spanning 24 states and 273 districts

Transition to a Small Finance
(2015–2017)

    • Received in-principle approval and banking license from the RBI
    • Successfully transferred USFL’s business to Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (USFB)
    • Launched banking operations with five branches in Bengaluru, integrating technology with handheld devices for field operations

Public Listing & Market Leadership
(2018–2022)

    • Became the first Small Finance Bank to serve as a registrar for Aadhaar enrolment
