Ujjivan SFB Activities in FY 2024-25

In FY 2025–26, Ujjivan SFB partnered with organisations like CDT and Shree Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti to provide employability training and mobility aids(Fitment Of Artificial Limb And Calipers) for differently-abled individuals, as well as vocational training for youth and women from low-income families

SDG 2: Zero Hunger

Extended support to over 12,360 beneficiaries affected by Cyclone at Punjab, Solapur and Himachal Pradesh. Provided essential aid to disaster-affected families across India

SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being

Key projects under Chote Kadam included setting up a lactation room and waiting area at a public

health centre, building a dormitory for residential school children, etc.

  • Distribution of Grocery kits as part of flood relief in Punjab, Solapur & Himachal Pradesh
  • Ambulance support @ Vadodara VMC to improve emergency care & medical equipment to PHCs, District hospitals, Government hospitals etc.
  • Ujjivan SFB provides employees and their dependents with 24x7 “Doctor on Call” teleconsultation services

SDG 4: Quality Education

Ujjivan SFB, in partnership with Pi Jam Foundation, supported teacher capacity building, digital literacy, and the establishment of coding labs in schools across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The Bank has further strengthened its financial literacy program to deliver structured awareness and support programs specifically designed for MSMEs, Senior Citizens etc.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

Women currently represent 20% of Ujjivan SFB’s total workforce

As on date, the Bank has achieved 44% gender diversity in Board,

A total of 480 women, PwDs and unemployed youth from low-income backgrounds have been empowered through the Bank’s CSR Livelihood programs

In FY 2024–25, Ujjivan SFB successfully completed two WISE batches, benefiting 46 women employees by enhancing their confidence, leadership skills, and career readiness

Through its CSR Initiatives, the Bank provided about 50 tailoring machines to women at Nagli Issa & Jaipur, Training on tailoring to women at Purulia, Educational learning devices to visually impaired girls, provided pink auto to 10 less privileged women of Akota etc.

SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation

Over 17,000 employees participated in cleanliness drives across 748 branches as part of the Swachh

Neighbourhood initiative

  • The Bank supported the provision of electric garbage collection vehicle at Miwadi & Tenkasi; Provision of Garbage collection trucks at Jalna, Erode etc.
  • Ujjivan SFB’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) loans in FY 2024–25 disbursed over 1.2 Lakhs+ loans as of March 2026 benefitting over 5 Lakhs+ people.

SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy

Ujjivan SFB expanded its clean energy footprint by installing rooftop solar panels totalling 24 kW

across four branches (Krishnapura, Adanoor, Shyagale, Sudarshan Moore & Shyampura), generating 116.69GJ of renewable power in FY 2025–26

Commissioned a 10-kW rooftop solar installation at Shampura, Jaipur in FY 2025-26; Generated surplus energy with approximately 800 kWh exported to the grid

Through its ‘Sanchaya’ Energy conservation Program across Regional and Corporate offices in

October 2024, achieving an 5% reduction in energy consumption in FY’26 compared to that of FY’25

The Bank has fully transitioned to LED lighting across all facilities, driving responsible energy

consumption and long-term efficiency

SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth

The Bank through its CSR Livelihood development Programs,

  • in association with Cheshire Disability trust catered to training the PwDs on communication skills, basic computer literacy etc., coupled with placement in retail, banking, ITeS sectors and the like with an avg. monthly income of ` 8,000/-
  • Additionally, 30 battery operated vehicles were provided to Orthopedically challenged individuals coupled with training & their placement with Zomato as delivery partners has enabled them to earn about 10-15K(avg.) per month
  • Skill development to the underprivileged youths were executed in partnership with Magic Bus India Foundation and Y4D foundations

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure

Ujjivan SFB offers loans for affordable housing and provides financing to MSMEs, fostering sustainable industrial growth and resilient infrastructure

SDG 10: Reduced Inequality

Partnering with Cheshire Disability Trust, Battery operated vehicles were distributed to orthopaedically challenged individuals towards empowering them to earn their own livelihood; Supported 32 Transgender students with academic scholarship.

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

In FY 2025–26, the Bank, through its flagship ‘Chote Kadam’ Program, executed 99 infrastructure projects towards improving community infrastructure, recreational spaces, healthcare centers etc. Supported pond and lake restoration projects in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra; Ujjivan SFB undertook key water conservation and rejuvenation initiatives including the restoration of Kanekallu Lake at Hoskote, Bengaluru; rejuvenation of Arisipalayam Kuttai pond in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; and a comprehensive watershed development project under Project ReAssure 2.0 in Bavada village, Satara, Maharashtra

SDG 13: Climate Action
  • Over 17,000 employees participated in planting more than 20,000 saplings under the Swachh Neighbourhood initiative
  • Installation of rooftop solar panels at four branches of Ujjivan SFB
  • Supported the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by organising clean-up activities

SDG 15: Life on Land

The Bank supported Kaziranga National Park through the provision of a surgical table to strengthen wildlife care and conservation efforts.

Besides these, rejuvenation of Ponds and lakes at Kanur, Jaisalmer etc. has benefitted the animals like Camels, Sheep etc. living in the neighborhood with provision of clean drinking water.

  • The Bank is committed to governance and ethics, ensuring employees uphold standards such as anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and conflict-of-interest management in daily operations
  • By engaging with a wide range of stakeholders – including employees, customers, shareholders, and the community – the Bank fosters transparency and strengthens trust
