In FY 23-24, we launched a comprehensive disaster relief program in response to the devastating Michaung cyclone in Chennai. Our mission was clear: to provide essential grocery kits to 5,000 families in the hardest-hit areas, including Mogappair, Tambaram, Porur, and Velachery. Collaborating closely with local authorities and community leaders, we ensured a coordinated response that prioritized those in urgent need.
In FY 2024-25, the Bank has directly supported the 10,000 & 2000 victims of Fengal Cyclone at Panruti, Cuddalore & Mahadevagollahalli respectively with adequate supply of groceries and household essentials during this time of crisis. Similarly, the Bank had supported about 10,000+ victims across PAN India through its Winter relief, Summer relief & disaster relief initiatives to navigate the effects of the climate change.
