What is Atal Pension Yojana (APY)?
Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is a pension scheme launched by the Government of India to address the post-retirement income needs of workers in the unorganised sector. Under this scheme, you can contribute towards a pension account during their working years and receive a fixed pension amount after reaching the age of 60.

APY offers a low-cost pension solution, making it accessible to individuals from all income groups. You can choose a pension amount ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 per month, depending on your contribution levels and age at entry.
Guaranteed Pension Benefits
Upon reaching the age of 60, you are entitled to receive a guaranteed pension amount based on your contribution and the chosen pension plan. This ensures financial security and stability during retirement years.
Nomination Facility
You have the option to nominate your spouse or any other nominee to receive the pension benefits in case of unfortunate events, ensuring financial protection for their loved ones.
Voluntary and Portable
APY is a voluntary scheme, allowing you to enrol based on your retirement planning needs. Additionally, the scheme is portable across locations, enabling you to continue your contributions even if you change your residence or employment.
Eligibility
Customer age should be between 18 years and 40 Years
Customer should not have any previous APY account
Customer should not be an Income Tax Payer
Customer should have an active Ujjivan SFB Savings Bank A/c.

Charges and commission on APY
On each APY Application, bank receives ₹90/- from PFRDA
On missed contribution, 1% PM of outstanding amount will be charged as penalty from PFRDA
PFRDA Ombudsman Details
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has appointed an Ombudsman to receive, consider and facilitate resolution of complaints or grievances under the ambit of PFRDA (Redressal of Subscriber Grievance) Regulations, 2015 and amendments thereof.
